Dev Gate Company CEO signed individual consultancy agreement with Misr El Kheir Foundation in Egypt to conduct a field research to assess and measure the ICT level, challenges and barriers facing Misr El Kheir schools in Sohag and provide recommendations and plans to build their capacities in integrating ICT in the education process in general and in teaching and learning in particular.
Research Objectives:
- Assess existing ICT (computers, data shows, educational tools … etc) and technology available in the respected Misr El kheir schools’ in Sohag.
- Usage of ICT by the school members, students and the Community members, if there is any access by the community.
- Build the capacities of schools’ members (teachers, administrators, managers, and board of trustees) in the prober and efficient use of technology.
- Provide staff and teachers with training programs on how to use and integrate ICT in teaching and classroom activities with the clear intent of sustaining improvements in learning outcomes.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building at the classroom level to enable students and teacher using ICT to meet their needs. For example:
- Students will be supported by teachers in how to use computers and common software applications to incorporate ICT in their learning; ensuring their ability to enhance their communication and problem solving.
- Teachers will use ICT to support their lesson planning, teaching and their own continues learning and professional development.
- Connect schools with community members through;
- Use the school’s lab as a community ICT center to serve the community members after the school working hours.
- Build/develop school’s website with a mechanism to allow community members participate in the decision making process, and follow up the students’ progress and achievements.
